PROFESSIONAL SOLAR INSTALLATION

Solar Installed
Right From Day One.

From the first site assessment to final commissioning, our installation process is designed around your property, your energy needs and your long-term solar goals.

Quality Installation Built for Australian conditions

A Great Solar System Starts With Great Installation.

Choosing the right solar panels and inverter is important, but the quality of the installation matters just as much. Your system needs to be correctly designed, positioned, installed, tested and commissioned so it can perform reliably for years to come.

At Make My Solar, we take a property-specific approach. We consider your roof, electricity usage, system size, switchboard, access and future energy requirements before installation begins.

03 Testing & Handover

From Quote to Clean Energy.

We keep the process simple and transparent, while making sure the important technical details are taken care of.

01
STEP ONE

Property & Energy Assessment

We start by understanding your electricity usage, energy goals and property. We look at factors such as roof space, orientation, shading, roof type, switchboard requirements and available installation areas.

02
STEP TWO

Custom System Design

Your solar system is designed around your actual energy requirements rather than simply choosing a standard package. We determine the appropriate panel layout, inverter configuration and battery options where required.

03
STEP THREE

Approvals & Preparation

Before installation, the necessary documentation, network requirements and installation details are organised. We also make sure the site is ready for the installation team.

04
STEP FOUR

Professional Installation

Your solar panels are securely mounted to the roof using an appropriate mounting system. The inverter, cabling and other equipment are installed according to the system design and site requirements.

05
STEP FIVE

Testing & Commissioning

Once installation is complete, the system is checked, tested and commissioned. Electrical connections, equipment operation and system performance are verified before handover.

06
STEP SIX

Monitoring & Handover

We help you understand your new system, including the monitoring platform where applicable. You can then keep an eye on solar generation and system performance.

What Happens On Installation Day?

We aim to make installation day as straightforward as possible. Our team takes care of the technical work while keeping you informed throughout the process.

Equipment arrives on site Panels, inverter and other system components are prepared for installation.

Roof mounting is installed Mounting rails and brackets are positioned to suit the roof and panel layout.

Panels are installed Solar panels are secured to the mounting structure and connected as part of the system.

Inverter & electrical work The inverter and associated electrical equipment are installed and connected.

System testing The installation is checked and tested before the system is handed over.

Monitoring setup Where applicable, your monitoring system is configured so you can track performance.

Different Roofs. Different Solutions.

Every property is different. Your roof type, available space, orientation and electrical setup all influence how your solar system should be installed.

Tiled Roofs

Solar mounting systems can be designed for tiled roofs while taking care around roof penetrations and tile condition.

Metal Roofs

Corrugated and metal roofing can accommodate solar mounting solutions designed around the roof profile and structure.

Complex Roof Layouts

Multiple roof sections, different orientations and limited roof space can all be considered during system design.

Solar + Battery

Battery storage can be incorporated into your system design to help increase your use of solar energy beyond daylight hours.

Installation Quality Matters.

A solar system is a long-term investment. That's why installation should never be treated as an afterthought.

From the positioning of your panels to the mounting system, cabling, inverter location and final commissioning, every part of the installation needs to work together.

04

Discuss Important Preferences

If you have preferences regarding equipment locations or access, discuss them with the team before installation.

Your Solar Journey Doesn't End at Installation.

Once your system is installed, we want you to understand how it works and how to monitor its performance.

Depending on your system, you'll be able to use a monitoring platform to view solar generation and system information from your phone or other connected device.

What Our Customers Usually Ask.

Installation time depends on the size and complexity of the system, roof type, access and any additional electrical work required. Many residential installations can be completed within one to three days.

It is recommended that you are home for at least part of the installation where possible. The installers may need access to areas of your property, including the switchboard and roof cavity.

Yes. Solar can be installed on many tiled roofs. The mounting method is selected according to the roof type and installation requirements.

The system is tested and commissioned, monitoring is configured where applicable, and you are shown the basic operation of your solar system. Depending on the property and network requirements, additional steps may be required before the system can be switched on.

In many cases, a battery can be added later. However, battery compatibility and the existing inverter, electrical setup and system configuration should be assessed before deciding on an upgrade.
